BOIL WATER ORDER IS LIFTED

On September, 8th, 2022 the Monhegan Water Company with the help of Hayley Ward has completed the Level 2 Assessment. Below is a link to the level 2 assessment that outlines the problem which caused the contamination as well as the corrective actions taken. Jean Flannery, the State Inspector from the Drinking Water Program has lifted the Boil Water Order.

The Monhegan Water Company is continueing to monitor chlorine levels closely as well as pursuing upgrades to the treatment facility.
